Dental care - Implants
A permanent tooth.
Not a compromise.
Dental Implants, titanium root with ceramic crown
A dental implant replaces the entire tooth, root and crown, with a titanium post fused to the jawbone and a ceramic crown that matches your natural teeth. No adhesives. No removal. No neighbouring teeth involved.

Why it matters
A missing tooth affects
more than appearance.
When a tooth is lost, the jawbone beneath it begins to resorb, losing volume and density within the first year. Adjacent teeth shift toward the gap. Bite force changes, placing uneven pressure on remaining teeth. This is a progressive structural problem, not just a cosmetic one.
An implant is the only restoration that halts bone loss. The titanium post stimulates the jawbone the same way a natural root does, preserving bone volume, stabilising adjacent teeth and maintaining facial structure long-term.
What's involved
The implant
components.
A dental implant is a three-part system. Each component has a specific function, and each is selected based on your jaw anatomy, bite and aesthetic requirements.
Titanium implant post
Surgically placed into the jawbone. Over 3–6 months, the post fuses with the bone through osseointegration, creating a stable, permanent foundation.
Abutment
The connector piece placed on top of the implant post once osseointegration is complete. It supports and orients the crown above the gumline.
Ceramic crown
Custom-fabricated to match the shape, size and colour of your natural teeth. Indistinguishable from a natural tooth when correctly placed.
Bone graft (if required)
If bone volume is insufficient, a graft procedure restores the necessary bone mass before implant placement. Assessed during initial consultation.
The process
What happens
at each stage.
01
Assessment & planning
3D CBCT scan maps bone volume, density and anatomical structures. Treatment plan confirmed, implant position, diameter, length and crown design agreed before surgery.
02
Implant placement
Placed under local anaesthesia. The titanium post is inserted precisely into the prepared site. A healing cap or temporary crown may be placed same-day.
03
Osseointegration & crown
The implant bonds with the jawbone over 3–6 months. Once stable, the permanent ceramic crown is fitted, matched to your natural dentition.

Questions
What patients
commonly ask.
Am I a candidate for dental implants?
Candidacy depends on bone quality, oral health, and medical background. A full assessment is required before recommendations are made.
How long does recovery take after implant placement?
Initial healing occurs within weeks, while full integration takes several months depending on bone response.
How long do dental implants last?
With proper placement, hygiene, and follow up, implants are designed for long term function.
Do dental implants feel like natural teeth?
Once integrated and restored, implants function independently and feel stable during daily activities.
When can I return to normal eating?
Soft foods are recommended during early healing. Normal chewing is introduced gradually after stability is confirmed.
Can dental implants be combined with other dental procedures?
Yes. Treatment planning may include preparatory or restorative procedures when clinically indicated.
